Beaches Different beaches will cater for different needs in Rio. Bring cash as most places accept card except for the food & drinks sellers who are walking around, but don’t own a stand. If you're a surfer, we recommend going to Barra or Sao Conrado beach. For those looking for a vibrant and social atmosphere, to see and to be seen – Leblon (Posto 11) and Ipanema (Posto 10). For those wanting a quieter beach Sao Conrado is ideal. We recommend going in front of Quiqui Kiosk.
